Salokannel Photography
I received my first camera as a gift from my grandfather Vilho in 1975. The package included a camera, a 12-photo film, and a flash cube – that was the beginning of a lifelong hobby. In the church’s camera club, I learned to develop black-and-white film and photos. Watching the image appear on paper in the darkroom was amazing and fascinating, sparking a desire to learn more about photography.
I have been fortunate to work in places where I could observe the development of photography from analog to digital. Although technology has advanced, the principles and basic rules of photography have not changed. However, with digitalization, the number of photos has increased tremendously.
Photography has remained a beloved hobby, and the camera has been with me for nearly 50 years
